Well, I did a FRF test on my intake cam (yeah, I should get a life) and found out that the frequency of the 1st bending mode of the cam is about 600Hz.Critical speed (the speed when the cam will start to vibrate like a guitar string) of the cam is: (600Hz x 60)/2 = 18000 rpm Cam rotates twice as fast as crank. So critical crank rpm = 18000/2 = 9000 rpm. SO if you (provided you can) rev the Z to 9000 rpm or higher, the cam will just bend and the whole valve/piston/timing will fail. hehe... Sorry... I am too bored.
